Step 1 extract audio from video file

video with stereo sound track

ffmpeg is powerful video converter. It can be used to "extract" sound track from video files by using correct options.

ffmpeg -i video_file.suffix -vn output.wav

-i = input, -vn = no video proccessing

video with multi-channel sound track (e.g 5.1 or others)
